Why Natural Soap?
Glycerin is found in natural personal care products. This natural resource is naturally occurring and is commonly derived from plant oils (such as those that we use!). Glycerin functions as a humectant, a natural remedy against dryness by allowing the retention of moisture in skin.
Having this ingredient in our soaps, automatically seems like a good idea! The glycerin content in TesMains soap contributes to its moisturizing properties by helping to keep the skin hydrated and supple. We note that any soap is going to dry-out the hands, but if you use natural soaps, then you are likely to experience less drying and the following redness that comes with chapped skin.
Store-bought soaps, by contrast, are not likely to have glycerin when these bars are shipped to the supermarket. This is because the glycerin is likely to have been removed during the manufacturing process so that it could be relayed to the manufacturing processes of other cosmetic products. This implies that store-bought soaps are likely to be very harsh on the skin as they will naturally wash away natural oils that function to naturally moisturize and preserve the freshness of skin.
